Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is an explosive, 1990s-set martial arts action extravaganza that resurrects Capcom's legendary arcade franchise with raw physical choreography and stylistic flair. The plot centers on estranged former fighting partners Ryu and Ken Masters, whose bitter rift is suddenly interrupted when undercover Interpol agent Chun-Li drafts them to compete in the high-stakes World Warrior Tournament.
As the global competition gets underway, the battle royale quickly reveals a sinister underworld plot orchestrated by Shadaloo crime lord M. Bison. Bison uses the tournament as a front to capture world-class combatants and extract their latent spiritual energy to siphon into his own bio-weapons program. Forced to fight through a grueling gauntlet of international martial artists, Ryu and Ken must settle their long-standing personal grudge and unite alongside Chun-Li to dismantle Bison’s syndicate before his terrifying energy extraction device turns fatal.
The narrative barrels toward an epic showdown inside Bison’s fortress, examining how deep camaraderie, martial discipline, and shared purpose outweigh power-hungry tyranny when the fate of global stability hangs in the balance.
The film boasts a stacked ensemble cast, starring Andrew Koji as the disciplined Ryu, Noah Centineo as the brash Ken Masters, and Callina Liang as the fierce, vengeful Chun-Li. They are joined by David Dastmalchian as the megalomaniacal M. Bison, Jason Momoa as the monstrous Blanka, Cody Rhodes as major-league military operative Guile, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as brawling boxer Balrog, and Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i as the menacing Akuma. Infusing fast-paced brawling with neon retro aesthetics, the movie transforms classic arcade rivalries into an adrenaline-fueled cinematic showdown.
