Considering Trump's victory over Kamala Harris, women feel that their reproductive rights may be trampled on. Consequently, many women have thought of joining the 4B Movement. If you are unaware what the 4B Movement is, it has been characterized as a radical feminist movement and started in South Korea in 2019 as a response to maltreatment women felt like they received. It was a way for women to protest issues like abortion rights, domestic violence, and the gender pay gap by not having heterosexual sex, not marrying, not bearing children, and not dating (bihon, bichulsan, biyeonae, bisekseu in Korean). Now, this movement may be coming to the United States. The "Me Too" movement gained popularity in 2017, as women stood unified against sexual predators, after actress Alyssa Milano tweeted the phrase in response to allegations of sexual abuse against film producer Harvey Weinstein. Women have proven they can stick together. In the coming months, we will see if the 4B Movement gains momentum in the U.S., especially after Trump's inauguration.
