The 2025 film Jurassic World Rebirth is a standalone sequel in the Jurassic Park franchise, directed by Gareth Edwards and written by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.
Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, the film posits that most of Earth's climate is now inhospitable to dinosaurs, with the few remaining populations surviving in isolated equatorial regions.
The mission quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival when the team becomes stranded on the island, which is home to terrifying, highly dangerous, and often mutated dinosaurs—some of which were experiments deemed "too deadly" for the original park. Their situation is further complicated when they rescue a civilian family whose sailboat was capsized nearby. The film blends intense action and horror as both groups struggle to escape the island and confront a sinister secret about the abandoned facility dating back decades.
