The 2025 film Black Phone 2 is a supernatural horror sequel that picks up four years after the original, with the psychic younger sister, Gwen Blake (Madeleine McGraw), becoming the new central figure. Although the serial killer The Grabber was defeated, he returns as a powerful, vengeful supernatural entity. The Grabber now targets Gwen through her dreams, where he can inflict physical harm that carries over into the real world. Seeking to end this torment, Gwen discovers that the killer's power is linked to the location and memory of three boys he murdered decades ago at the secluded Alpine Lake Camp, a place connected to her late mother's past.
Gwen, accompanied by her older brother Finney and a friend, travels to the isolated, snowed-in camp to confront her tormentor. The siblings learn they must find the bodies of The Grabber's early victims, whose trapped spirits are believed to be under a frozen lake, to fully defeat the spectral killer. The film is a mix of supernatural suspense and an emotional exploration of inherited trauma, as Gwen must come to terms with her psychic abilities—a family gift—to free the victims' souls and defeat The Grabber's ghostly form once and for all in a desperate showdown on the ice.
