Do you think the war with Iran has been a mistake?

It has been said that China and Russia have been secretly involved in aiding Iran, using them as a proxy to wage war against the United States. Reports are swirling that Iran is being aided in the form of intelligence and, perhaps, militarily. Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, did say that Russia is assisting Iran "in many different directions." In the first 10 days of the conflict, 7 American soldiers have perished, which immediately made the war unpopular. President Trump acted unilaterally but later received support from Congress as the House and Senate rejected a War Powers Resolution, which would have ceased operations that didn't previously have Congressional approval.

Some have not characterized the situation as a war at all, but merely "military operations." Iran has made no official declaration of war, but they have stated that aggressive behavior on behalf of the United States and Israel are acts of war: the bombing of their uranium enrichment facilities in June of 2025, the assassination of their top general Qasem Soleimani in 2020, and the killing of their supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the assault that began on February 28th. A missile struck the Shajareh Tayyiba school in Minab, where 168 little girls and 14 teachers were killed. Apparently the site was chosen because the girls were daughters of Iranian soldiers. Whether either side admits it or not, to most, this definitely looks like war.

The costs of the war are said to be astronomical, with a daily price tag in the billions, while the price of gas is rising at the pump, and groceries and homes in the United States are unaffordable for most. Infrastructure has been neglected as bridges and streets are literally crumbling; healthcare is bankrupting U.S. citizens; most people are forced to borrow for continuing their education, and the Social Security program is rapidly running out of money. The national debt is skyrocketing, growing at a rate of five million dollars per minute.

The Trump Administration characterizes their actions as noble, citing the killing of protestors as a catalyst for Operation Epic Fury, among other things. They have also made mention of plans to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. The Israelis have been accusing Iran of being close to a nuclear weapon for over 30 years... Click Here.

Recently, President Trump was forced to lift sanctions against Russia, allowing countries to once again purchase their oil due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, in a somewhat embarrassing concession, as he once sought to dictate terms to the Kremlin. Many feel this will strengthen Russia in their endeavors.

Support for the military campaign has been justified by some because Iran has long been considered a sponsor of terrorism. They have been linked to organizations such as Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas, all of which are terrorist organizations known for their brutality. In 2024, the Kataib Hezbollah drone attack on Tower 22 in Jordan killed 3 U.S. servicemen and wounded 40. The 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia killed 19 U.S. airmen—the list is extensive.
