Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua. Whose going to win the fight?

Posted 11/21/2025

Jake Paul is a YouTuber turned boxer. He managed to secure a deal to fight retired boxing legend Mike Tyson in a sanctioned professional bout in 2024. Paul defeated Tyson, who was nearly 60 at the time, by unanimous decision, walking away with a reported 40 million dollars. Paul planned to fight Gervonta "Tank" Davis next, but the fight was scrapped due to legal issues Davis is involved with, including a pending civil lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, who is accusing him of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Now, Paul has set his sights on former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Joshua has been given a stipulation that he can't weigh more than 245 going into the fight, but this entanglement will be completely different from what fans might have expected with Davis. Davis is a much smaller fighter, 5'5" and 135 lbs., while Joshua is 6'6" and 245 lbs.  Jake Paul stands 6'1", and his weight varies by contest, but in his 13 fights, the heaviest he's been is 227.

Joshua, who is significantly younger than Tyson, brings a wealth of experience, having fought in 32 professional bouts. Joshua promised to break Jake Paul's face. The fight's total purse is estimated to be around $185 million, with both fighters reportedly guaranteed at least $50 million each. The fight is scheduled to take place December 19 at Kaseya Center in Miami. The fight will be aired on Netflix.
