President Joe Biden is the oldest person ever elected to office, inaugurated at the ripe old age of 78. The minimum age for the Presidency is 35. Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest to be elected at 42 years of age. When the Constitution of the United States was drafted, it wouldn't be farfetched to conclude that there was a minimal age requirement to hold the office of President for a myriad of reasons which may have included maturity. We aren't seeking to hypothesize here on this site but that would seem to be a reasonable estimation of what our forefathers had in mind. Advanced age presents challenges comparable to the inexperience of youth.
